Senior Growth Marketer, Automotive

At Manning Agency, the newly created growth marketer position is ideal for an experienced marketing professional eager to leverage the breadth and depth of their marketing skills and experience across a wide array of media types and campaigns. Growth marketers work in every stage of the funnel, driving an iterative, data-driven approach to increasing customer acquisition, retention, and revenue for our clients. Growth marketers are focused on the entire customer base, growing that base, retaining each customer they acquire, and building a reputable brand. Simply put, their core objective is to maximize all growth opportunities for our customers at each stage of the funnel.

To accomplish this goal, growth marketers should have a solid understanding of the following:

Master Omni-channel Marketing Strategies

As a growth marketer, understanding and implementing omni-channel strategies is crucial. Developing campaigns that provide a seamless customer experience across all platforms, from social media to email marketing, is essential. This holistic approach can significantly boost user engagement and lead conversion, demonstrating an ability to drive growth across multiple touch points. Supporting this capability would be a solid understanding of numerous media types, including: paid search, paid social, email marketing, display and content marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), streaming media, traditional media (cable, radio, outdoor, etc.), and much more.

Leverage Advanced Analytics and Metrics

Data is the compass that guides growth marketing. Strong analytical skills are critical to interpreting complex data sets and extracting actionable insights. Advanced metrics and attribution models are often utilized to accurately measure campaign performance and ROl, which is essential for making data-driven decisions and demonstrating an impact on company growth. Supporting this capability would be a solid understanding and/or experience with: Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Automotive CRM platforms, Google Ads, DSPs, Facebook Ads Manager and FB Business manager to name a few.

Excel in Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)

The ability to optimize for conversions is a cornerstone of growth marketing. Experience with leveraging user experience (UX) design, A/B testing, compelling creative, and persuasive copywriting to improve conversion rates is very important. Leveraging various CRO tactics to drive a consistent track record of increasing engagement and conversions is extremely important for this role.

Adopt Agile Marketing Methodologies

Agility in marketing allows for rapid iteration and responsiveness to market changes. Embracing agile marketing practices to accelerate campaign development and deployment is a competitive advantage. This adaptive approach can lead to more innovative and effective campaigns. Proactively researching and exploring new media and systems capabilities is inherent in this role. Exploring how AI and other emerging technologies can support growth strategies is essential to keep pace with the industry and provide our clients with forward-thinking marketing strategies.

Extensive Automotive Marketing Experience

This position requires an individual to have extension experience in the automotive industry, particularly hands-on experience developing and managing marketing campaigns at the Tier 3 retail level. Understanding how marketing works across the various tiers is crucial, as well as understanding the interaction between automotive OEMs and franchise dealers, including but not limited to: national advertising programs/campaigns, incentive programs, CoOp marketing support programs, brand guidelines, etc. Its also critical to have some experience with key dealership systems and operations (CRM, DMS, BDC, sales, etc) as well as exposure to the vast ecosystem of supporting vendors.

Day-to-day growth marketing responsibilities might include:

  • Planning, optimizing, and scaling paid marketing campaigns
  • Utilizing data to pivot marketing campaigns for more engagement and conversions
  • Conduct monthly KPI analysis across numerous omni-channel campaigns
  • Leveraging data analysis to identify performance gaps and opportunities
  • Develop and drive data-driven optimizations strategies across digital and traditional media
  • Research, create and maintain audience segments
  • Strategize geographic target locations and other customer attributes and behaviors
  • Critically analyze and leverage performance data to measure and optimize ROI, scale customer acquisition opportunities, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Work with external vendor partners to ensure brand consistency and accuracy in campaigns across all digital platforms
  • Prepare monthly reporting for all major metrics, goal tracking, and other initiatives to present to internal and external stakeholders, highlighting progress and improvement
  • Research, explore and trial new marketing technologies, strategies and media types
  • Provide the client, marketing teams and vendors additional support as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in automotive digital advertising/marketing.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in managing a broad spectrum of digital media campaigns.
  • Automotive enthusiasm and/or automotive industry experience.
  • Expert in Google Analytics, particularly GA4.
  • Well-polished written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and listening skills.
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
  • Computer literate with a basic understanding of web technologies (websites, browsers, mobile devices, etc).
  • Data analysis: you can organize and analyze data in Google Worksheets/Excel like a champ.
  • Communication: you communicate seamlessly in Email, Slack, Asana and other platforms.
  • Extra: experience using data visualization platforms such as Looker Studio or other data visualization platforms.
  • Extra: Master’s Degree.
